I agree with your views. But if the guy who was being arrested for the same crime was white and the same situation had happened no-one would have given a s**t.
He would just have been a statistic that nobody would hear or care about.

They do. It’s not even a contentious point. The Universities have been dominated by left wing academics for some time now.

Bear in mind, I didn’t say that it’s all the fault of the Universities - though their influence is clearly evident.

People in general tend to start life as left leaning and then soon realise that many of the values they hold dear are more Conservative in nature and drift toward the centre and even the right of centre. Clinical psychologists have been reporting on that for an eternity.

Look at the last Labour manifesto. It was roses and chocolate for the youngsters who were not just against the Tory party but actually accused them of being murderous, racist bullies.

The patriarchy is finished. Equality of opportunity has been achieved and tolerance levels are improving. The Universites can’t spout this of course because they get so much resource from the “social sciences”.

I actually agree with most of those points, but I just don't see how that all adds up to... 'Most youths today see the west as an oppressive structure that must be torn down'.

Most youths don't follow politics, don't engage in political discourse at uni and couldn't give two f***s about Left vs Right.

What we've seen the last two weeks has nothing to do with left-leaning unis (I agree they lean left). A lot of uni lecturers/administrators are high-earning and have zero interest in tearing things down.

What we've seen the last two weeks is a water-shed moment where, for the most-part, people of all races are in lock-step and determined to draw a line in the sand that dark-skinned people are not inherently more dangerous.

Granted - but if you ask most youths today, the majority will think that the pay gap exists on gender alone, that black members of our society are disadvantaged and that capitalism is a bad thing - irrespective of whether they follow politics, or even go to University.
