I’m guessing Luiz is one of those who didn’t take a pay cut

But he said he wants to keep Luiz.

I mean, I wouldn't expect tonight's performance to make him change his tune publicly, but perhaps it has made him have a rethink privately.

Wouldn't surprise me tbh. He's got to be one of the most 'valuable' CBs of all time, considering the fees that clubs have paid for him. Can't imagine being asked to take a pay cut, from a one year deal, will have flown with him.

Or his agent.

Yes Lex he said that which indicates that his mind wasnt right because of his contract situation.
