Serious threat to our top 4 challenge and I’m more talking of next season rather than just now. As far as I’m concerned, our top 4 ( CL ) journey ended last term before covid 19 and any faint hope of us possibly getting a place ended when we drew last night to United. We won’t be getting a CL place and quite frankly, we are just not good enough. Wolves on the other hand are neck and neck with United for that 5th spot and who would begrudge them a place ? They are a terrific side.
That Jimenez is so underrated. No doubt up there among the best strikers in the league at the moment. Ok, they have just beaten a poor Westham side, but they have been having an excellent season along with Sheffield United. Difference is, I don’t think they are going anywhere and seriously consider them a threat now.

Wolves are having a good season Don, but I doubt they will keep it up next season. Lots of clubs have one good season. Burnley was it a couple of years back as an example.
On another subject, I thought you said a while back that Arsenal were going places under Arteta, and he was building a decent side.Frankly they are a lot worse than us, and I doubt Arteta will last much into next season. Oh and a chance to put West Ham closer to the Championship on Tuesday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Genuinely blows my mind when fans still can't see what Wolves are actually doing as a club. The difference between us and Burnley in terms of progress and potential is huge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolves are currently a better side than Spurs, with a better manager by far and more money to spend. I'd be surprised if they didn't finish above Spurs for the next several seasons unless Spurs' next managerial appointment happens to be a good one.
Spurs are 100% a serious threat to the Sky 6 as a permanent fixture, same as Leicester. I'd back either Wolves or Leicester to get into the Champions League on a regular basis ahead of Spurs and Arsenal at the moment, definitely.

So would I. Both clubs going in the right direction. Only thing that will stop it is the big clubs cherry picking their best players. Already potentially happening with Chillwell to Chelsea. Problem is Wolves and Leicester are not established big clubs at the moment, so despite Spurs being a worse team, we still have more pull than these clubs. But, they are 100% better than us.

The 'pull' of clubs generally means wages, the squad they're joining, whether they get first team football, the manager and then training facilities.
Leicester are a genuine threat. A lot if their players have great resale value, they pay good wages and make good transfer deals.
Wolves too plus they have a super agent on board.
The issue for Spurs is resale value imo. They have two or three players who would command a large fee but there isn't much quality youth coming through. I like Bergwijn and also Lo Celso although the latters numbers are poor but could improve. The flip side is the squad will require an awful lot of work. Arguably four defenders, maybe a Lloris replacement on the horizon and the likes of Son and Kane may start to want CL football. They need to get an awful lot right over the next two seasons and personally I don't think Jose is the man to do it.

Not a chance Don, that either Leicester or Wolves will finish above Spurs regularly. This season is an awful season, you only have to look at the points total of lots of the teams around the European spots. Spurs will definitely be above both Wolves and Leicester next season.

Spurs will be back 100 oer cent next season. Remember when Chelsea like finished 11th or something like that, they won the league the following season. No two seasons are ever replicated.
This season has been completely disjointed, and nobody can say how next season will go based on this.

100% of WHAT??
Lewis & Levy's bright shiny new stadium is lying empty, gathering interest payments and a mountain of debt. Joe sees his billions disappearing down the plughole!
There will be no money for new hirings into a rapidly aging and depleting squad...
Gone: Vertonghen, Alderwiereld, Aurier, .... sold for what, peanuts!
what's coming in... 3 more Sanchez's? WOW!
Expect Kane to be sold to pay the interest!
And your favorite midfielder ... Ndombele....
Damned good squad for next season...Eh?

Top rebuttal. But no, I haven't. Wolves happen to be my family club so I've always followed them even though I chose Spurs, and I can see which way the two clubs are currently heading.
More to the point, people constantly underestimate Wolves' power in the transfer market. Not just because of the Mendes influence but also in sheer financial muscle. Fosun Group is facking minted.

wolves are a good well drilled side. I think we have better individual players but collectively they really have got a good outfit. manager is doing an excellent job managing that squad. attractive team to watch. got a bit of a soft spot for them.
