Biggest Positive

Today was very frustrating, thought we’d put in a much better performance than that.

However, the gap to third is still 7 points, and I would certainly have taken that before this round of fixtures.

A win next Saturday and the job is complete.

Biggest positive today was that it’s yet another wake up call for some (especially in the board room) who have this delusion that this team is good enough for the premiership..... need a good summer transfer window or we will be an embarrassment

Spot on. The bench today was ridiculous. 2 goals down and nothing on the bench to change proceedings.

I'm going to put this out there.

If Bournemouth go down then we should resign cook.

He would walk onto this midfield.

Better beat Fulham next Sat. otherwise it's give up time.

Depending what happens Friday night, a draw maybe a cracking result against Fulham.

Who would you play in midfield ?

Interesting question.

I dont actually believe in a first 11, I think you need a team where you can slip players in and out who are all first team quality, I know bielsa likes a small squad, but personally I think there is a reason so few other managers have that same mentality.

So based on who we have, who I think will be here next season and the fact in think cook would be a good signing I would go

Left - Harrison, despite being the worse player on the pitch today he has been great for this season and overall improved ten fold on last season

Def mid - Phillips - lad picks himself

Right Costa - he will be here next season so unless poveda haunts him out he will play

Then in the middle I'd have klitch and cook.

Personally I'm jot convinced pablo will have enough for this team in the premiership next year, I certainly dont see him as a regular starter

Plenty of positives from that game. On the whole the side looked good and did a lot right.

Clearly rusty In areas and the two mistakes were howlers. Also rusty with the final ball.

Yet we still created two very good opportunities and if it wasn’t for our own mistakes then they wouldn’t have created a decent chance.

Play like that again against Fulham but cut out the mistakes and we will be more than fine.

This is just nonsense, Brentford are our biggest danger, much easier run in than Fulham, if we lose to Fulham we will still be four points ahead of them, and have very few games as tough as today yet to play.

Not done and dusted by any means but that seven points is still there and we will get better.

Just to put it into context, if we matched the results of the last 8 games of last season when we collapsed (3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses), we'd finish on 81 points. To finish above us, Brentford would need to get 19 points and Fulham 18 points. Which is asking near perfection from them.

It's not over and we still need to step up and hold our nerve. But we are in a very good position. Not to mention we are on equal points with WBA, so even if one of Brentford or Fulham go on a great run, it's not certain it's us they will catch. WBA haven't been convincing since the turn of the year.

Cheers for that. Puts it into context well. We can do this with three or four wins.
