Ndombele bust up with Mourinho

The cat is out of the bag......
https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/2020/6/23/21301057/tottenham-hotspur-news-tanguy-ndombele-done-with-jose-mourinho

On the heels of Tottenham Hotspur’s first victory since February 16, a report has come out of France from TF1 that the relationship between midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and Jose Mourinho has reached a breaking point and the player will no longer work with the Portuguese manager.

Several Tottenham players are trying to mediate between the pair, talking to the coaching staff and Mourinho about how excellent the ex-Lyon man’s performances are in training.

Mourinho had history of slating players publicly at his most recent charge in Manchester, and it looks like he’s using the same tactics at Tottenham, with Ndombele in his sights.

Whether or not this is on Ndombele reportedly being lazy and not wanting to put in the work or Mourinho being an arsenhole is in the eye of the beholder. There’s evidence out there to back up either claim as plenty of French beat writers have chimed in about Ndombele’s lack of work ethic when he was at Guingamp, Amiens and Lyon prior to his move.

Well......now you all know what is going on! Will Levy mediate, or sell, or sack the manager?

Walker and Trippier leaving - not replaced
Rose and Wanyama(Now Verts too) major declining - not replaced
Dembele decline - not replaced

hence the need for 5 or 6 players in the above positions due to the fact we stood still in prior markets and made some very poor transfers along the way, not addressing key areas.
Our 2 brilliant seasons under the previous manager were built on the above and that got the best out of the forward players who are clearly talented.

now we are in the current situation where i can only see us bringing in free agents. Not going to be enough, and for Jose to prove us wrong he will need to build his own squad which he wont be able to. We are yet to see otherwise that he can get the best out of this one which is the poorest and most imbalanced it has been in years.

This may explain Jose's problem with Ndombele......

What beats me is why Levy would buy a problem player?

I think ego got the better of Levy while he totally misplayed the Eriksen situation. I think he saw the possibilities of the stadium, thought there was a huge offer coming for Eriksen & thought....."I'm gonna make a statement". That chairman @ Lyon knows what he's doing....... Pulled Levy's pants down

I think there are a few posters who forget its about the here an now and what these players have actually done for Spurs, not what they did 2 years ago in an another league. I've said it a million times... the odd goal or some fancy turn/ dribble does not make a player.

Spurs have played god awful football and lost a lot of games in the past 18 months. While we can debate who fault it is, we are going backwards as a club and the players take as much responsibility as anyone. All this talk of how great GLC, NDombele, Lamela, Sissoko, Winks, Dele & Moura is nonsense..... Even our better players Kane & Son are far from perfect.....They have proven time & again they cant deliver when it matters and our current position is a perfect illustration of that....... BANG AVERAGE

Because of nor investing in the glaringly weak areas on the squad

Spurs are on the up. Settled back four now, new players like Bergwijn and Lo Celso atarting to show their worth, Son and Sissoko back. One of the world's best strikers up front. A manager who is a serial winner starting to reshape his own team now. I like what I am seeing.

Spurs are NOT on the up.......they are midtable and struggling to get within striking distance of 5th place.
European footy next season is a gonner, won't happen.
As for a "settled back four" that was nowhere near true against ManU. Dier had to track back and help Davies out all the damned time...... which led to their first penalty. Aurier is unreliable to say the best. And I dont think Sanchez is up to the class of Alderwiereld of 4 years ago.
Davies is a total weak point, and all the clubs know it ... even Wet Spam!
Give over with the rosy postings, Sandy........ take it a game at a time.
Lets see what we do agsint Sheff United, shall we?

Because of one win against one of the worst teams/managers in the league, with no win in 7 before that?
