Who is going down?

With both the relegation battlers who played at the weekend losing, the picture at the bottom is no clearer.
Norwich City aren't out of it, but 6 points at this stage is a rather large gap for them to make up.
Sat on 27 points are 3 teams, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham United, while Watford have 28 but have played one game more than their 2 closest rivals. Brighton and Hove Albion are the only team who could really be pulled in it, sitting on 33 points and 6 above the relegation zone.

Fixtures
Norwich City (21 pts) - Form - 3 points in 5 games
Arsenal (a), Brighton (h), Watford (a), West Ham (h), Chelsea (a), Burnley (h), Man City (a)

You would think they would have to take at least 10 points from their next 4 - and 6 from the 3rd and 4th games.
Prediction - 26 points - 20th.

Aston Villa (27 pts) - Form - 2 points in 6 games
Liverpool (a), Manchester United (h), Palace (h), Everton (a), Arsenal (h), West Ham (a)

Pretty tough run in, will be hoping Liverpool have been celebrating too hard. Will need to take close to maximum from the last 4 to have a chance you would think.
Prediction - 32 points - 18th

Bournemouth (27 pts) - Form - 1 point in 5 games
Newcastle (h), Manchester United (a), Spurs (h), Leicester (h), Man City (a), Southampton (h), Everton (a)

Another tough run-in, facing 4 of the top 7. Will need a shock or two to have a chance.
Prediction - 30 points - 19th

West Ham United (27 pts) - Form - 3 points in 5 games
Chelsea (h), Newcastle (a), Burnley (h), Norwich (a), Watford (h), Manchester United (a), Aston Villa (h)

West Ham largely have their fate in their own hands, with games against 3 of their relegation rivals. 2 tough games against CL chasers, but 5 games they should have a hope of winning.
Prediction - 37 points - 16th

Watford (28 pts) - Form - 4 points in 6 games
Chelsea (a), Norwich (h), Newcastle (h), West Ham (a), Man City (h), Arsenal (a).

The West Ham is the obvious six pointer, but with one less game than all but Villa, Watford have less room for defeats. Anything against Chelsea will be a bonus, before 3 games where they need to take 7-9 points.
Prediction - 35 pts - 17th

36 points is normally the target for survival, but on current form it may be even lower than that. Norwich need a miracle. I don't see Bournemouth or Villa making that target either.

Hard to see past Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth.

It feels as if the empty stadiums are playing a part at the moment.

Looking at Bournemouth's fixture list - with no atmosphere in the ground - it's hard to see where their points are coming from.

Watford look as in peril as Bournemouth tbf

I can see Bournemouth beating Newcastle, Saints and drawing with Leicester.

And Watford beating just Norwich and Newcastle.

And then GD coming into play

Was thinking about Watford, but I just feel they have a bit more about them than Bournemouth.

Maybe it's an unfair perception, but Bournemouth seem a bit soft.

generally i wanna see more northern teams come and and southern go down.

Watford are awful at the moment. At least when you watch Villa it looks like they have a plan. They perhaps don't have the players, to do better than they are doing but Watford are all over the place.

Villa did not look like they had a plan at the weekend.

watford squad is in disarray after a stupid selfish party.

it reminds me of West brom. evans etc were just about thrown out of the club.

however its not normal times and the clubs at the bottom seem to have returned to action is extremely poor shape.

you have to give some credit to villa for a couple of battling displays but thats it.

Southampton, Newcastle, Brighton all came back knowing what to do so the clubs like Bournemouth, and watford and Westham have zero excuse for their abject performances.

they've jumped their fans imo. at least fight for it.

We'll survive with a Grealish stunner to send down West Ham.

Then watch Grealish wave goodbye and wish him all the best at Utd 😔
