Ndombele

To play apart tonight

So let's vote

5 stars, plays 60 mins
4 stars, 20 minute cameo
3 stars, warms up but don't come on.
2 stars, gives out the halftime oranges
1 star, in charge of lost and found.

Ndombele will come alive when the ball is at his feet. So play him where his focus is to create and score. No.10 position is deffo available. Alli and Lamela are not good enough as 10s.

Lets hope he plays the "part" of a professional footballer for a change

was he actually playing before he came to spurs?
he had to have built his reputation somewhere.

He'll come off the bench when we're 3-0 down with about 5 mins to play but he'll still look like an absolute Rolls Royce in that time. Jose can't see the grace and artistry of a player like that.

Sick of Jose.... already!

Did Cantona track back, does Ronaldo? Messi?

A good manager gets the best out of a squad he's been given. When Redknapp was in charge, he'd definitely have built the team around Ndombele and allowed him freedom by playing him alongside worker bees. Not every player has to have the defensive instincts. If they do then they should have them in the same way that Guardiola or Pochettino push for. You harrass and harry your opponent into giving you the ball back high up the pitch so you're still in the same attacking position where you can do damage. Where I think Jose has it wrong is that he expects his teams to defend deep then do something when possession is gained but then all of your attacking players are out of position.

Football has moved on and so should we. We had it right with Poch, threw it away and now we've gone back decades in terms of progress. What a mess of a club.
