So Who Went To The Pub Yesterday?

I think it’s important to support your local independent pub (although my local didn’t reopen and I’m not sure it’s going to as it’s all boarded up) although I’m less inclined to support Wetherspoons and the like because they are hideous,

What was it like? Looked pretty weird on the news, table service, empty at the bar, staff wearing PPE.

Apparently pubs have about 50 new rules they need to follow!

They are now predicting a further 27,000 deaths in the next 9 months if we don’t get the R Rate down.

Our government like putting the responsibilty on the people in case things go wrong, instead of taking responsibility for its people and governing them eg Spain and France and Gerany

You're talking sheite mate.

Many times I've gone to the pub thinking it's really busy because of a group outside and it's just the smokers, and was quiet inside.

I’m smoker, we smoke and then we go BACK INSIDE.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh I understand that.

Doesn't mean the pub is crammed full, does it?

Doesn't mean that every person in the pub is not adhering to social distancing guidelines, does it?

Whatever Winston. You sound like a medical expert.( I am not sure that you are).

I am not going to argue the toss with you on here about something as vital as this. We all now take our own chances with this virus. This GVT wont nanny us anymore. They have told us, the virus is still out there. We are not out of the woods. Confirmed cases are on the up. So, you can decide if you are personally immune to it by sticking to the pub guidelines. Good luck.

516 new cases today, lowest since March.

Think someone is telling a porky!

Weekend figures are always down as you know full well.

Opening the pubs on a sunny Saturday in July was dumb enough, letting them open from 6am is stupefyingly stupid.

Does anyone in number 10 have a brain or do they want us all to die? Serious question.

Weekend figures or not, it’s still about 45% down on last week.

Not taking anything for granted but the trends are positive at the moment, despite the constant negative press.

It’s fairly well known that we’ll see greater fluctuations in the R rate as infections fall.
