I’m more concerned about other players in the squad that are a drain on the wage bill.

Lingard and Andreas need to go. If Mata stays so we don’t leave ourselves too short of numbers I don’t see the issue. In a year’s time we’ll have a better idea of where Chong and maybe Hannibal are at in the squad as well.

I don't get how DDG has been a key player when he has made big mistakes that led to dropped points and plays in one of the worlds best sides at restricting the opposition from creating chances.

If we get the extra attacker I'd let him go. It sounds like he could be off regardless.

I suppose it’s worth considering we might not play in the league cup next season. And if we aren’t in the Europa we probably don’t need as many players in the squad.

If he goes then fine. I just hope Lingard and Andreas are going with him.

Andreas is reportedly on less than half of Jesse’s wage, and has a few years on his side, so if we were to hang on to one of them for cover, it’d make sense for it to be Andreas financially-speaking.

I wonder if the League Cup will go ahead but just without the sides in Europe or if it'll be scrapped altogether.

Andreas is just a pointless player to have in the squad now.

There’s been rumours that clubs in Europe won’t play in the league cup. I don’t think any official decision has been made yet.

It makes sense to do. Would be a good opportunity for clubs like Everton, Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham to actually win a trophy without all the big guns in it.
