Think is it’s very poor business considering we aren’t even promoted. At the very least would have expected the club not be throwing away £15m without promotion clause....... ridiculous

I know mate - the amount of times I've said in the past having to check the cricket score, wishing I was working from home watching it - finally

I can see it now though - looked forward to it that much, come lunch time, Windies put us into bat with the cloud cover, rip through our top order and receving millions of watsapps from my mate trying to rattle me .

to be fair - ref costa - I'm not sure to be honest, not really my bag ref contracts, just frustrates me that the first thing people say without knowing the full facts that its all poor business.

having said that, Costa for 15 big ones? - hmm, not sure he's worth that to be honest.. but, its a funny old game, transfers rarely reflect what players are actually worth.

IF, he ends up playing well next season (in the prem), then he'd be worth a lot more that what we paid.

then what will happen, if somebody does come in for him, at a silly price, then a lot of our fans will complain we've sold another good player... always refer to it as the grass is greener ref this subject.. aparently Real Brentford are such wonderful recruiters, because they buy cheap players, when they play well, they sell them for a higher price. Leeds's do that and its bad business, or lack of ambition... just like with Roofe.

This is an interesting point. Probably deserves a separate article to discuss. Personally, I’ve not been impressed with Radz & co when it’s come to transfers. They feked up last January with the Dan james saga and did even worse this year with JKA... they take too many risky options and some of the big ones haven’t worked. Their transfer history, granting long contracts, agreement etc worries me for the premiership.... again probably needs separate article to gage what others think

Afridi, its prob been done to death to be fair.. and whilst I understand there are a few 'bad deals' we've assembled a team / squad that has dominated the division for two years!

of course, you can single out JKA, or James deals.. I thought JKA was from the instruction of Bielsa? - the James deal was signed and done before the Swansea owners pulled out?

Not everything is the fault of the club, is what I'm saying.


Also, granting long contracts point, yeah, there a some that you look at and think 'OMG, 4 years ... but it wasn;t so long ago, we were all complaining we didn't tie players down and they were allowed to leave cheaply.

on a different note - have you seen anything from that Choosh guy on the cricket threads? - really love how rattled he gets when England so much as take a wicket

think England will struggle in this test.. love Ben Stokes but not sure he's a captian, think Root is a big miss

Yeah that guy is quality - his wumming did get a bit boring after a bit but provided some banter

A funny thing about this signing is Bielsa once said he's not sure how to fit him into his system, he rates the lad but has to think about how to play him!..

I think he's done good, so, could Bielsa play with the system to bring Costa more into the game?..

Or should he play Costa as he has been knowing on his day he can be good?..

Bielsa said he's a player that'll go forward and upset defences, problem is his system doesn't leave him enough room forwards and he runs out of space a lot!..

How often has he reached the line and run it behind?..
