City’s ban appeal verdict

Will be decided at 9.30am in Monday.

What do we reckon?

I reckon they’ll be playing CL next year.

If they are not United almost certainly will.

Pure guessing game at this stage isn’t it. Will the content ever be put in the public domain 🤷‍♂️

They should extend the ban just for the cheek of Manchester Cheaty appealing. Like they used to do when you frivolously appealed a red card

Cheaty has like 2 fans and I bet shirt sales go into the millions too. Such a fake wannabe big club

Cheating vvankers

I hope they're successful in their appeal, not because I like City, it's just it will pi$$$ their rivals off no end.

You are their rivals. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't support Utd.

And?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So City aren't a rival, I support a lower league club, fingers crossed they maybe joining the big boys.

Haven’t read the whole thread, so apologies if someone has already pointed this out, but City were found guilty on *two different* charges:

- of falsely inflating sponsorship revenues when making submissions as part of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance process;

- of breaching regulations by failing to cooperate in the investigation of the case by the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB).

If CAS don’t find enough evidence to ratify the decision on the first charge, they might well on the second.

City openly refused to cooperate fully with Uefa, tried to get the entire investigation stopped repeatedly, and accused the CFCB of leaking details of the investigation to the press. All of that I would say is uncontroversial and incontestable.

Personally, I have no idea whatsoever about whether the depth and quality of evidence on the first charge will meet CAS’s standards.

On the second charge, I cannot see CAS overturning Uefa’s verdict. The evidence is clear.

As such, I think we’ll see a minimum one year ban.

I would say it is contestable, where are you getting we openly refused to comply from? Your point about the leaks from the CFCB, CAS has already said that that had merit btw.

How about refusing to discuss any of the hacked material?

Or...

“Khaldoon said he would rather spend 30 million on the 50 best lawyers in the world to sue them for the next 10 years.”

Or...

“UEFA doesn’t respond to anything other than aggression” and a lawsuit against auditor PriceWaterhouseCoopers “could destroy the entire organization within weeks.”

“If PWC was under threat, you could then imagine them suing UEFA for damages and, if they collapsed, all their creditors suing UEFA too.”

The internal response to the investigation appears to have been, “Right, how do we completely destroy UEFA?”

Be hilarious if city somehow brought UEFA to their knees

You don’t know any of that though, none of it has been publicly said. That statement from Khaldoon was what he was alleged to have said five years ago, not now.

In terms of not discussing the hacked email, we said we wouldn’t publicly be discussing it. We also said we sent a body of evidence to Uefa about it.

I’m fine with having the opinion we haven’t complied. We have not openly refused to cooperate at all though, you won’t find any official statement to validate that being fact at this stage.
