Pepe just isn't good enough...

It's his first season in the PL.
For the 1st part of the season he was in and then out of the team for along time.

Yes he cost alot but atm hes the least of our problems.

Gotta give him at least until next season to show his worth, not every players hits the pl running.

Not seen anything of Pepe to suggest he links up well with other players.

Poor mans andros townsend, bit of pace capable of some screamers but other than that??

A good player imo, its his first season give him time.

I don't think we will ever know how Zaha would have performed if we bought him but in my opinion, he would have excelled in our team

Agreed.
He couldn't do any more at Palace and fully deserved a big move last summer. In his prime, an Arsenal fan, i've no doubt that he'd have taken his game to the next level with you.
Although the £80mil price tag was a valuation of his worth to our club, understandable tbf, it was way too high. As i said at the time, anything over £60mil was a good deal.
He's been woeful this season, uninterested and moodier than ever (which takes some doing!) yet we've still managed to stay up putting to bed the ''If we sell Wilf we're going down'' argument.
I was looking forward to seeing him finally showing his full potential in a better team than we can ever give him and i honestly think Arsenal would've been that team.

Oh well.

Because if you'd watched Pepe play with AMN behind him and understood what was going on. when you did. Then you'd know those two link brilliantly, it's Bellerin who doesn't know his ass from his elbow linking with Pepe.

Pepe only struggles to link with the others when Bellerin plays, he gelled with AMN near instantly.

Just accept it, his signing has been underwhelming. Yes there is a lot of talent but he looks a bit lost in the Prem

I never blamed his form on Bellerin. I specifically commenting on what was said about him linking with other players. Unless ya blind you should have noticed how well he links up with AMN by now. They've worked well together from day one. But with Bellerin it's a mess and that IS down to Bellerin. If the problem was down to Pepe, then AMN would have it too.

I notice we never have to say this about Son or Lucas Moura (who we should have bought for peanuts) or even Saka - they just deliver.
Perhaps we should start calling Pepe Goldilocks because according to you everything has to be ‘just right’ in order to get anything out of him 😎
