Been a good thread this. Enjoyed reading the various points made. Still a bit to do but if we can get promoted...

I have been critical of Orta at times. I think he has made some bad calls over three years but he has made a few absolute gems too re Bielsa, Ben White, and some in between like Bamford and Alioski. Overall I would say he is at the heart of our set up and must have a good working relationship with Bielsa which is vital.

Any organisation though needs to review how it can improve and I would say that if we get promoted it is really through fantastic coaching , teamwork and work ethic rather than through good recruitment and they will have to up their game in that department in a very unforgiving premiership. Look at the stuff that has worked and what hasn't, learn from it.

Everything at that level is more intense in terms of the pace and athleticism if the opposition One thing I would say a small tight knit squad of two senior centre backs, one fit out and out centre forward is way too limited for the premiership and we have to have more cover and options available.

With our club it's vital we get a lot more right than wrong. You can gamble on youth but can't gamble on the first team squad. You have to do your homework on character, injury record and such things .

whilst I totally agree with what your saying. I don't get why you are putting our club aside from others, surely its the same for every club to get these things right.

you could pick out many examples of other clubs signings, some for big big money that havn't panned out.

take the blinkers off !!

Also lets not forget one of the signings of the decade here.. Klich was bought, sent out on loan as the manager thought he offered nothing, MB comes in turns him into the player he is now, would walk into any side in our league.

People always very wise after the event !!
