Luke Ayling

What a season Ayling has had. Hernandez has grabbed headlines since the restart but I think Ayling has been equally as good.

His role in this side is massive, the distance he covers, game management and attacking threat are superb.

Gone a bit under the radar after huge efforts from Hernandez, Harrison’s improvement, Bamfords controversy and Ben Whites debut season.

I’d be happy to see Ayling win POTY, been a fantastic signing for us.

Have to admit I was not happy with the majority of the squad 3 plus years ago - the 'we will finish 13th' was getting on my nerves and I couldn't see how any of the squad were good enough to compete for top 2.

Kept thinking that it was Dallas's brother that was in a Leeds shirt.

Well time has proved me wrong with a certain help from MB and as much as it irks me to say it, Monk did have a part initially.

3 years ago Dallas was played as a winger. Hes much better as a as a full back

Who’s been decrying Dallas???

---------------

to be fair VOFy, I've said it loads of time "Dallas isn;t good enough" etc etc

he's been brilliant this season.

POTY is a really tough one, you could make an argument for 4 or 5 players.

urgh, with a gun to my head I'm going to say Klich - brilliant and consistant all season.

If Bamford had 6 or 7 more goals to his name, I'd possibly say christiano.

but really hard to pick a POTY

I've criticised Dallas in the past for his lack of pace and trickery (you need at least one of those attributes for a winger ) But he has always worked hard and playing further back has helped him. All credit for his attitude in turning things around when a lot were on his back .

totally agree !!

Also 'working hard' used to be a phrase for a player we all thought was not good enough, 'oh but he works his socks off'

under Bielsa 'working hard' is massive. aka Christiano

Bamford's missed too many to get POTY, surely? All the players have been working their socks off, to be fair.

For me, it's got to be young Ben White whose development under Bielsa has been phenomenal - but it will probably be Pablo Hernandez who bags it in the end. His vision and skill have inspired our success. That weighted pass that led to Dallas scoring at the start of the season was one of the best examples. His goal at Swansea was top-class eye of the needle stuff.

The thing I really appreciate this season is that we are where we are purely on merit - we have consistently played great football. The entire squad deserves the POTY award!

Jaz, totally agree ref Bamford - do think he's been excellent this season, but prob missed to many chances to be POTY.

not denying his impact to the team though !

I think I'd vote for Cooper. Just not put a foot wrong all season, best defence in the league, he's always calm and assured as captain.
