Brentford v Preston Matchday thread

Welcome to the Matchday Thread.

Venue..Griffin Park...Date...15th July...Kick Off...1700hrs

If ever there was a team to pave the way for Leeds Uniteds return to the Premier League it is Preston North End. Simply Peter Ridsdale. It would be poetic justice for this idiot to watch his current team provide Leeds with the opportunity of needing a win on Thursday against Barnsley.

Team News

Brentford
Thomas Frank has no fresh injury concerns.

Preston
North End boss Alex Neil had a few selection dilemmas for the trip to the capital. Ben Davies is definitely ruled out with a hamstring ‘nick’ and Ben Pearson was taken off at half-time against Nottingham Forest, with Alan Browne missing the game altogether.

We're mental for expecting them to show up. Tw 4Tz.

Derby were the same. Pushing or playoffs and showed no fight whatsoever

Still in our hands. A win tomorrow and we can almost touch the Prem.

Who will fold first then?

Brom looking over their shoulder at Brentford?

Brentford looking up at us?

Or will we spit the bit?

Preston looked awful.

But at least make it difficult. 3 mins against Derby in the first and 2nd half. 4 mins into this game. Teams not putting up any fight, keep it tight for the first half at least.

Charlton only ones who've come out with any credit.

Brentford are going to pinch 2nd off of WBA. All 3 deserve to go up, but as we know, it doesn't work like that.

Charlton might be safe before we play them. Whether that means the game will be easier or not is difficult to gauge.

Charlton have Wigan as their penultimate fixture which probably means it will be a do or die against us on the 22nd.
