if you look through our results that season you've got to really question what happened to Rangers even towards the end of the season we were still slipping up in games

Think the real damage was done early in 1998. From end of January until mid march Rangers won one league game. 2 losses and 3 draws.

Pressure of going for 10 I think was enormous and maybe hard to get back on track for after the elation of getting 9

I came back after working abroad for a few years and my dad organised a ticket for this game for my Christmas. Think it must have been my first time in the new stadium. It's all a bit of a blur and the things I remember most clearly are the climb up to get the seat, the steepness of the stand, the drunk guy next to me shouting at Rangers fans the whole game and falling off his seat. And Lambert's goal.

Sacking Smith was the big turning point.

Hopefully our club is fully focused on the league and all pull in the same direction.

And get big fraser back

Ha ha! It was pretty wild when the second went in...
The win did seem to be a big turning point. First win against Rangers in about 10 attempts, first New Year's win in 10 years (I think).
