I had always thought it would be Spring 2021 at the earliest, but with the whole country seemingly opening up, cinemas opening, hairdressers, swimming pools, hotels etc. Is it really right that spectators should not be allowed back into sporting events.
I can see an absolute push now for the opening up of grounds for the start of season 2020/21. Cannot see clubs wanting to carry on with no revenue coming in through the gate, whilst other entities are opening up all over.
The question then will be which supporters will get the tickets? Will they just go to season ticket holders, thus shutting out loyal fans like me, that go to all the home games, bar illness or holidays, or will they find a way to distribute tickets between Season ticket holders and Members. Corporate will get their tickets I suppose. So if say their are just 30,000 up for grabs, should be interesting to see how it works.
Oh and once in the ground, will the bars be open, hard to social distance really around the bar areas, with no real seating areas in most of the ground. Or will supporters just have to go straight to their seat? I suspect that is what will happen.
In truth I cannot wait to get back to WHL, whatever the circumstances, win, lose or draw, champagne football or dull football, the buzz around matchday at WHL is one of the main reasons I have been returning for year after year for more than 60 years. I suspect most fans feel the same. TV is fine, and it serves a purpose, but it doesn`t beat being at a live match.

Off topic but Claude from AFTV has been sacked for calling Son "DVD". They did a video trying to deny it but then Robbie's sponsor Harry's said they were pulling out of AFTV so Robbie sacked him LOL

The issue isn't with stadiums, where it would be easy to shut every other seat.
It's public transport, we all know that at most premier league grounds getting away is a nightmare and stations can be chock solid for up to an hour. That's where the issue is.

Yes mate, went into administriation last week. Sad day. But there is a petition gaining momentum, being backed by the Mayor of Haringey to get it to reopen.
Obviously they had funding issues, so will not be opening for a bit, but hopefully may open up maybe next year, with different Trustees.
My wife was sent a form to fill in for redundancy, even though she put her notice in a couple of weeks before shutdown in March. She was actually on notice when it was closed for Coronavirus, so not sure how she stands in getting any money.
