WHO, CDC and other bodies believe the actual positive cases to be 10x higher than the confirmed cases what with all the asymptomatic people, lack of testing etc etc
they believe their number of 10x to be conservative, so if we really have had 150m cases globally, and lost 590k people then we are at 0.3% death rate.
think of the millions who marched for BLM around the world...why wasn't there a huge surge in all those locations? social distancing wasn't observed?
so after 7 months of this, a question I asked way back when other fear mongers on here were spouting 10% death rates and end of civilization rhetoric.....has this disruption been worth it?
the furloughs? the loss of jobs? the economic travesty? the school children lack of education?
I was mocked when I said this will turn out to be similar to flu stats....its not really far off is it?

Yeah it is ridiculous. Basically everyone wants their holiday so feck everybody. All the hotspot states are summer vacation states. Meanwhile those that have to protect elders are left having to avoid the public as best as possible while trying to enjoy our summer.

Approaching 20% of the UK is is over 65 and 10% over 75. Add in existing health conditions and the number is actual very high, far to high to shrug and take a chance.

Literally everyone understands that.
I thought that literally everyone also understood that this is a very highly contagious disease curbing the spread of which is critical in ensuring that, for example, hospitals aren’t overwhelmed, public services can continue to run, and supply chains of critical consumables, like food, can continue to function.
