Despite where we sit in the league you can see their is genuine progress being made the owners now have to give the backing that Arteta requires nothing else is acceptable.

Two of the best teams in Europe back to back and we beat them. This is despite having an awful record vs big teams. I thought Liverpool game was down to a bit of luck due to them taking foot of the gas, however it was obvious that game was used to prepare for tonight. And tonight this was perfected.

I felt better not seeing Kol starting but I still thought we were asking for trouble when I saw the formation and was not expecting a win at all. Glad to be proven wrong. Brilliant team performance all around and a superb performance by Luis ( yes, I gave him credit ). Same for Xhaka and Mustafi. Auba of course brilliant (though despite his goals MOTM was DL I think).

We did get a little help from the FA Cup fates. They obviously took City's shooting boots out on the town last night so they were in no fit state to play today. But hey what can I say, it's not our fault they like seeing us win this cup is it.

Great to see City out of any competiton.
