I am struggling to look at the players today and count many who broke a sweat through effort and exertion and not from the weather. Auba was poor...couple of run and some horrible passing. Laca dropped deep to get the ball and left his primary position. Nketiah on the right is horrible. No fracking idea what Arteta was thinking....do coaches just have love ins with players and play them regardless of form or position?? Nketiah was horrendous bar his header.
Our midfield played at walking pace for much of the game. Xhaka made a difference but the fact that we have no creativity in that area is a massive problem meanwhile...Ozil is sitting at home. The number of times we go backwards and sideways...xhaka playing passes with Martinez with 15 seconds left of the game is INSANE. We cant even properly throw the kitchen sink at a team.
70% possession and NO shot on target. Appalling by any measure.
I dont want Europa. I'd love the FA cup and NO europa!

Nelson would have started tonight instead of Eddie wide, but he picked up an injury in training.
It was a nothing game for us, a couple of days after a massive FA Cup semi-final win during a hectic month of football. No surprise it was flat. Arteta tried to rotate.
People forget we have played 3 more games than most other teams, and have a small squad to pick from after the injuries to Mari and Martinelli.

We get Europa if we win the FA Cup. The problem is the way we go into that game. So much like what happened in the Europa cup. Finishing on a winning run and a little respectability in the league goes a long way to maintain momentum.
