Comments about the team presented with Premier League trophy last night:
"Waited 30 years to celebrate alone!"
"Awesome light show...shame nobody was there to see it."
"Lifting the trophy and the guy on the speakers announcing, “Ladies and Gentlemen, you’re Premier Leaue Champions.." to an empty stadium."
I'd like to say well done to LFC.

Personally I wasn't entirely ok with either. But between the two I'd suggest that thousands of people protesting the abuse, discrimination and slavery of an entire race of people is possibly slightly more justified than thousands of people having a street party and setting off fireworks because their football team won some games.

Right. So it’s ok to spread covid if it’s suits a different agenda then ? Don’t be so ridiculous. Nobody is saying the Liverpool fans were right, but don’t sit here and preach about Liverpool fans spreading covid, when he openly is supporting thousands of people protesting together. It’s wrong both ways, no question about it

nope, you didn't read what I wrote did you Don? First line 'personally I wasn't entirely ok with either'.
I believe there should be no public gatherings for ANY reason in the current climate. However it's far more justifiable in the case of the BLM protests than in the case of Liverpool fans celebrating or a bunch of idiots hitting the beach on a sunny day. What's not to understand about that?

And where was the C19 spike as a result of the mass gathering of Liverpool fans (the night the title was clinched) and after all of the BLM protests? I'll give you a clue, there hasn't been a spike.

Either way it’s not justifiable. Wait until it’s safe to protest in thousands, then no issue for them to protest how and when they want. My point is, that sizzle can sit here and preach/moan about Liverpool fans spreading, yet is campaigning on here for thousands of people protesting. He’s a f*** hypocrite.

If it happens, it won't happen immediately - it's hard to know the time it'll take for the impact to register. Also the risk is increased as a result of the cumulative effect of mass gatherings - so each one in isolation it may be relatively unlikely to have a major impact, but the more of these type of events that occur, the greater the risk.
Are you arguing that large public gatherings are absolutely fine?

what i don't get is why all those fans in liverpool and leeds weren't wearing masks. would that have been so hard?

For a club that has been so struck by tragedy over the years, you would expect their fans to have much greater care and consideration for the health of themselves and others in this time of national crisis.
Instead you get their fans defending it, because the BLM protests were worse, or whatever!
