Does anyone actually want europa league?

Genuine question. Seems it's more of a hinderence towards our domestic campaign.
The end goal of europa is to win to qualify for the champions league.
But would our chances of qualifying for the champions league increase if we could put all our focus on the league and qualify through top 4.

Obviously there are financial benefits but does anyone know the prize money for qualifying and would it really affect our budget or attracting players?

Yes winning the FA cup against chelsea would be unreal but i feel like we could do without being in the europa league for a season.

How? I put "playing the kids" into speech marks to show it wasn't literal. Inbefore clarified his "play the kids" statement with the second half of his paragraph.
If you think it literally means playing 12 year olds throughout the tournement then fair enough. I was on the same level as the original statement.

No one thinks that.

You made out that your kids/reserves made it to the semi/final which is just not true.

No, I dont want to be in that crap cup.

But we need it because of financial reasons and we can give our youngsters playing time in the first few games.

Yeah I don't mind the Europa, I don't really buy into this Thursday-Sunday is a hindrance thing, no different to Weds-Sat.

Plus it's a good chance to get some first team exposure for younger players/keep backs up fit/bed new players in.

It is usually the squad players who get us to there or the QFs. A few 1st teamers will play here and there but that's about it. Normally because we don't have to play anyone who requires more than those players, to beat them.

In fact the only comp other than PL, we play 1st team in the rounds before Last 16 is the CL.

Europa is a huge European competition, the quality has really improved. I would argue it's only the EPL sides who don't take it seriously.

Isn't that I don't take it seriously. I don't want that Thurs night schedule. Jacks up your PL season hard and the current squad will have enough of a job managing a respectable PL finish as it is. It's totally about that Thurs game. If they played EL on Tues/Wed, I'd be well up for it, that schedule isn't a curse to league form..

I'd rather play in Europa league then nothing at all. I want Arsenal to win a European competition. I haven't seen them win a European competition sadly (I was 5 when they won the Cup winners cup in 1994 and I wasn't into football till I was 8)
