2020 is some year right enough

Morning troops.

Well, the erse is looking like it's about to be ripped right out it for this year after all.

Never mind the global pandemic. Celtic look like they're due to complete the majority of their signings before August 1st and before we've even kicked a baw in the CL qualifiers.

Yes, i know what you're thinking, technically we'd have played the 2nd leg of the 2nd round tonight or tomorrow in simpler times but that's no one at the clubs fault and if anything, this year should have been more difficult to spend money and get deals over the line.

However, as it stands, we have brought in Mohammed Elyounoussi who is a terrific signing for next season as we know what he brings to the side. He's also someone that cost over £16 million 2 years ago.

Next up, we have lost Fraster Forster and although we were clearly confident he was coming back on either a loan deal, or signing permanently but it wasn't to be and we've moved swiftly to secure Vasilas Barkas from AEK Athens. His stats are impressive, clean sheet pretty much every 2nd game and he's pushing for the number 1 jersey for Greece, behind the keeper from Benfica.

It's also expected that Albian Ajeti will be in Glasgow for a medical today before signing on a year long loan deal with the option to buy for around £5 million next summer. Boy's a goalscorer going by his stats but i can't say i've seen much of him, even for Basel so it's a wait and see but on paper it's another solid signing and would likely spell the end for Bayo who to be perfectly honest has been nothing short of an absolute donkey.

The board get a lot of criticism at this time of year but for once, going into the most important in our history, they've delivered. Now, if they can get a CB and LB in over the next month or two as well, we'll be in terrific shape for the season.

Looking forward to Sunday now

Lad has his visa interview tomorrow. Why am I here? Well, let’s just say his attempt to leave his passport on the shuttle seat pocket is a fair example. I’d let him fck it up normally but we are out of time and it’s too important.

Just seen a scrum of massive rats behind the hotel - might give breakfast a miss? Suppose it’s inevitable down here?

That can happen anywhere I suppose even moreso in these times.

Not been in London this side of millennium.

Aside from the airport it is about 10 year for me anaw. Pre-Covid she was down twice a week (ooer) so her regular tales of woe sort me out if I have any pangs.

For me Glasgow's the ideal city in terms of size / location.

Big enough to be anonymous & small enough to navigate easily.

Loch Lomond 35 mins, Glencoe 100 mins, Borders 120 mins.

Far too fvkin close to Edinburgh tho.
