Grow up. I am just asking why football teams should be exempt, when everybody else has to abide by rules.

Because they're adhering to an approved and well-monitored scheme where their movements can be tracked. Do you trust all the general public to do the same?

That is not the point, the new rules clearly state that EVERYBODY coming in from Spain has to quarantine.

How hard a rule is that to understand. Oh unless you are Dominic Cummings.

Quarantine means not wonder about and go shake hands everywhere. These people come from a plane, into a bus, into a hotel, to the ground, play the match and reverse all steps back to Spain. They will not meet any one else other than the staff either. Perfectly fine.

The word MAY is very prominent in that sentence.

It does not say they will be allowed definitely to compete. I strongly suspect the Government will not allow football teams to break their rules, knowing that it will be a gift to the Ordinary Joe, who will immediately do the same himself.

Considering they can all be tested before coming over and will have been in a bubble in Spain anyway, of course the ruling shouldn't apply to them. Utterly daft to suggest it should.

What is so ridiculous about footballers following the same rules as the rest of us?

Possibly footballers and others not following the rules is why this Pandemic is going on so long.

simple. They are in a controlled environment. No risk to anyone really. Private jet aswell compared to commercial flight. Lots of reasons really. Can’t compare someone going to bars in Benidorm on a bog standard flight to people who will be isolating the whole time and with other people all of whom have been tested
