A Passing

Covid 19.

Old age.

Dementia, cancer or accident.

Mum in law leaving this mortal coil any day now, and so many people losing friends and family

Lock down and our new normal lives messing our heads up too and we can't talk about it.

Well Fook that, you can....whether it's about death, coming out as gay or Tory or depressed.

Just let it out...and talk to the phone or keyboard,, as behind it lurks guys such as myself or admin who can help or direct you to another way of thinking.

It may sound crass or twee or banal, but from experience and chats with many men and women in my life, its good to talk and reach out , rather than bottle it up and pretend it's ok.

If not here, contact your GP or professional help.

If you are feeling sweet,.cool.

Why not? Who are you to dictate the content on here? Whilst it is primarily a football forum, many subjects are dealt with, including supporting people with life's problems. If you prefer not to read/discuss these things, then don't do so, there's plenty of sport postings on here.

Because if I needed advice on my mental health the very last person I would go to is TBAB.

Go to your doctor of phone The Samaritans.

You are quite correct. People should contact their GP and/or one of the many wonderful voluntary support organisations. However, there is still a perceived stigma for some individuals to do this, which is why I believe a forum like this offers people an opportunity to seek support with some degree of anonymity.

Can’t speak for others, but the outpouring of support and good will I received on this site when I wrote about a really traumatic time I was going through was a great help to me and I am forever grateful for it;

It might not work for you U21889 but it does for others and I don’t think we should be trying to stop people opening up, here or elsewhere.
