GOOD!

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, PCP Capital Partners and Reuben Brothers have withdrawn from the process to buy Newcastle, Sky Sports News can exclusively reveal.

Papers regarding the proposed takeover were lodged with the Premier League in April but no further details have been forthcoming since then

Last thing we need is another team buying success like City and Chelsea.

Spurs and Liverpool are two if the clubs who opposed the deal. GOOD!

Feck Newcastle and their entitled fans. Nothing wrong with Mike Ashley. Brought Maxmillian, £40m on that lump up top and Almiron too. Got some other good players like Ritchie, the Longstaffs and Shelvey. Bruce is a good manager and they want some foreign owner who knows feck all about the area. Ashley In LOL

Yep great news. Not fussed about another club buying their way to success but faaaack the Saudi’s. Well done to the PL for their successful sabotage of the deal

Well I sure wish someone with money and ambition to win stuff would buy us!

Interesting that one of the main reasons given was “State Funding” but conveniently forgetting how Manchester City are funded

These Saudis had some kind of interest in BeinSports (or whatever they are known as), so their coming into Newcastle would threaten the established broadcasters monopoly. The TV rights has probably been a major reason why this takeover fell through, when all is said and done all they care about is pound notes.

Apparently the Saudi's pulled out on human rights grounds, after having a tour of a Sports Direct factory.
