Why is Lampard moaning about the start of next season.
In all likelihood, their season will end this weekend - 6 August giving them 35 days or more until the 2020/21 season begins.
This is better than say the 2018 season when England played in the World Cup 3rd place playoff on 14 July and then started the season 27 days later on 10 August.
Spurs had 8 first teamers involved in that play-off. All clubs have had 3 months off, and effectively a summer break whereby they do some basic fitness work individually, none of the more demanding training, playing ,travelling etc etc.
No doubt if Frank gets his way and they get to start the season after more rest, at some point later in the season he'll be moaning about fixture congestion....the season is already 1 month shorter, to be followed by the Euros next summer, so little opportunity to lengthen the season at the back end.
Surely clubs are just going to have to suck it up and all play to the same rules, rather than some being favoured. Chelsea just spent £100m on their squad . Dry your eyes Lampard .

granted not his fault you have like 100m out on loan in flops etc. but Chelsea had one of the best youth academies for years now to choose from too, with some of the best upcoming talent in the country. I think hes done a decent job, wouldn't say overachieved.

I guess i rate what Frank inherited a fair bit higher than what Klopp did. I think Franks done a good job, but not gone above what you'd expect any decent manager to do with the tools, even with a transfer ban and loss of Hazard.
