Roofe

Gone to Rangers.

Good luck to him. He should
score a ton up there.

Even people in the know have been saying Leeds will be a match for most of the Premier!..

Leicester ripped it a new one not to long ago, no reason why that couldn't happen again!..

And no, I'm not saying with Leeds, it could happen at any time!..

The advantages we have over other promoted teams are fan base and the fact we have a manager who will know everything he needs to know about every team in the league.

Confident that even if we started with our current squad, we wouldn't get relegated.
Add some quality into the mix and we should be comfortable.

If rangers and celtic joined the english league, at its lowest available space, as they would have to do if they ever joined the english league system, then what would happen is...

They would get promoted easily up to league 1.

They would start to find it difficult there and might spend a couple of years in there. Remember

They would then struggle to get out of the championship, I mean they couldnt even get out of their championship on the first attempt when they had to do it

It's not money that's holding the Old Firm clubs back, it's the lack of any serious competition.

I was surprised to hear Roofe has signed for Rangers. I thought his move to Belgium was very smart but obviously, he hasn't settled. Maybe he wants to do a Henrick Larsen - big fish in a small pond, hoovering up the half-chances - but he's not as good as Larsen. I think he made a big mistake walking away from Bielsa.

Rangers and Celtic wouldn't get beyond the Championship full stop, in my view. As Lorrimer says, a higher level of competition produces a stronger team.

I wonder if we'll ever see Pontus playing in the PL?

I bet both him and Jansson are looking at this and thinking what could have been.

Roofe's problem will be injuries. If he stays fit, he's a good striker. He missed pretty much half our season in 18/19 and only played 16 games for Andelect.
