it was delayed until 2021, then on the 30th june got announced its been put back another year til 2022, good news for us

Thats because it has not impacted us yet. Last AFCON was in summer. The one before we lost Mane and it was apparent but even worse was that we could not play Matip.

I reckon you forget how sheit we were without Mane during the last Afcon. I know we are far better equipped to deal with losing Mane for a month now, but losing Salah, Mane and Matip for a month, especially if Gomez were to be injured (not out of the question since all the Van Dijk partnership defenders get injured for months every season) would be season ending.

Not to mention Kieta who has started to show some form as well.

It would be a disaster to lose those 4 players for 6-8 weeks
