According to Daily Mail today we've turned down £16.25m bid for Morelos.
If so, I think we've made a big mistake. The board have been led to believe, presumably through media reports and their own contacts, that there are now so many clubs out there wanting to sign Morelos that the price will be pushed up (closer to their £20m valuation).
That may happen, and we may be able to hold on for a few more weeks and squeeze an extra £2m - £3m from one of his many suitors....or we could take the £16.25m now and move on. I don't think any of us are in any doubt that he'll leave over the next few weeks. In his mind I think he has already moved on. By all accounts he contributed little against Aberdeen, and even less against Leverkusen. The longer this saga drags on the more of a negative influence it will be. Morelos was great for a while but that's now in the past. Roofe and Itten are our future and the sooner we move on the better for all concerned. We should have taken the £16.25m and drawn a line under it all.
(If we take full points from the next few games and manage to squeeze £20m+ from somewhere for Morelos I'll be straight on here to admit my mistake)

FFS Odson is pure worth 40 Mullion an at, but the wee Colombian is worth between 5 and 8 Mullion so he is, tear to a glass eye

Edouard is an absolutely brilliant footballee who will go to the very top of the game.
Morelos is a wee fatty who bumps into folk and will have a decent career before disappearing into obscurity by his 30th birthday.
Not in the same league.

I'm not sure how relevant that was to my point. Rangers will have a figure in mind for morelos. But because of the situations at both clubs they will not be able to hold out quite like celtic will.

Lille have been sanctioned by Uefa under the FFP rules. May or may not have an influence over any further bids.
Rangers have not been sanctioned under their own EFFTP rules however, so carry on.

I said a few weeks back that Freddo would go for around £15M, but on reflection I reckon that valuation is a tad high, I'll be amazed if Rangers get anywhere near that now.
