Not another Sancho article
my dream signing for utd for the last 8 years has been thiago alcantara.
After he moved to bayern, not once did I imagine seeing him in a utd jersey
so while the rumours heavily link him to liverpool and it makes sense. I also feel he is such a great players it will be a shame if utd do not "try" to sign him. I feared the likes of juve and psg were in the running but bayern's head coach has "seemingly" admited thiago wants a move to the EPL. Until I see him holding the liverpool shirt I will enjoy dreaming of alcantara in utd's midfield.
One comment I read in my last alcantara post was that he has coasted his way in the bayern team, as if that is even a negative. Imagine having the ability to coast your way into bayerns midfield for 7 years.
PS: I am curious to know who everyone's dream signing (the caveat being utd do stand a chance of buying said player if they went all out i.e pointless to include neymar, salah, mbape etc). Or sancho is the only player fans rate now?

Which is fine, but it doesn’t from the player and club perspective.
Maybe the club will have a change of tack, and think fack it, but then you’ve also got to consider whether the player will want to play out his last few years trying to get back to the top rather than just playing at it already.

Thiago's injury record is not as bad as it was a few years ago. It's those lazy narratives that people just don't want to get rid of.
Also I doubt his relationship with Pep is thaaat good. Even though Thiago came through under Pep and looked like the natural heir to Xavi. Pep always favoured Fabregas even though Thiago never disrupted the balance of the side like Cesc.
Anyways he's an amazing player who's transfer to us depends on what Wijnaldum does with his contract. If Wij leaves on a free next season, we'll get Thiago. We're known for securing transfers a season in advance if we really want the player.
