Latest update...

Hi folks, I’ve spoke to JP today for an update on what’s going on and he’s told us the following.

They are hoping to get people in for the Motherwell game on Sunday, but they haven’t had it confirmed by the government yet if they do it will be around 700, so he will let us know later on in the week, it won’t be just corporate there will be a mixture, but it is a test event and they will be getting watched to see how they cope, so it will be done under strict orders.
They hope that if this test event is successful it will allow more in for the livingston game and will then take a game at a time, everything is dependent on things improving week to week so they won’t look to far ahead of themselves in committing to anything, as they could agree today but if there was an outbreak in Glasgow later on in the week it would get cancelled.

When we get back it will be the north, Lisbon lions and jock stein lower as the main stand will be off limits for players and staff as such only, so I would imagine tickets would be produced but again nothing 100%.

They have made no decision on how they are deciding on how they are choosing who is getting in but it is more than likely a ballot, and if your at the first game you won’t be in the ballot for the next and so on until everyone attends but that isn’t confirmed yet. To me that can only be the fairest way.

There will likely be ID checks so it will need to be the person who’s name is on the season ticket or who is registered to go who attends the game for track and trace purposes, I don’t know how it will work for clubs with tickets in the clubs name but I’ll let you know later on once it’s confirmed we’re getting back and whatever the system is.

There will likely be no turnstiles in operation when we get back there will be an outer cordon/fence around the stadium. Food outlets will be outside and you’ll be able to move freely within the cordon/fence, toilets are the only issue they’re not 100% sure in how they are going to use them.

Unfortunately he doesn’t think we’ll attend an away game this season, the government don’t want big movements of people into towns and city’s, it may change depending on things rapidly improving but it doesn’t look likely at the moment, if attendances are as low as 20/30% clubs will want to see there own fans alright before away fans so that would be another factor.

Nothing is 100% set in stone and all of this could change In The blink of an eye but I don’t think this will be far away from what’s happening when the government give the green light, I’ll keep you updated when I have more information but the media will likely announce that we’ve been given the go ahead and then things will move from there.

Any questions let us know.

Away games unlikely as I thought, hopefully home fans in by over 50% before Xmas though.

It was the exact same as Celtic-print a form off, complete it and return it.

I’m quoting his actual words

Neither were rangers fans. Have a look at the form.

I’m all for giving them a slagging, but their process was the same as ours.

It’s exactly word for word what he said isn’t it?

If the form didn’t request it then he either looks a bit silly or the individuals who designed the form didn’t do as he wished.

And wasn’t this all after considerable furore where their starting position was no refund? So still not the same.

I know what he said-I read the article first.

And we only refunded after our fans complained as well-their process was the same.

Your position was that they didn’t offer a refund-they did. You then stated that they had to give a reason-they didn’t. Our process was to print off a form and return it-same as theirs.

As pedantic as I am, even I can’t back you on this one.

No no no. I’m not having this.

We had a clearly stated refund policy on our season ticket agreements. Maybe the club preferred we didn’t notice it or far less actioned it, but once raised it was a clear application process.

Rangers referred to their own policy which didn’t have a refund policy. They then offered the £25 voucher. Fans were up in arms and they relented.

Robertson stated that fans had to give a reason. They they didn’t doesn’t excuse them of trying it on. Again fan pressure put paid to that silliness.

Yes both had the same kind of forma for applying. They copied us.

So. They announced the £25 refund.
Waited until enough people had applied, then wrote again saying that anyone who had taken the £25 couldn't get a proper refund.
Brilliant

Maybe they did, or maybe they didn't. Without access to the numbers, we'll never know. Irrespective, the point is that they did offer refunds to those that wanted it - the only caveat being they couldn't have the £25 and a refund as I've already said.
