So he's leaving Barcelona...apparently...the same Barcelona that has a certain L.Suarez in the team and a certain Barcelona with Messi et al that was destroyed 4-0 in the CL in front of the magnificent kop in an incredible atmosphere; Messi has seen the power of Anfield first hand, and if that wasn't enough Suarez will have been in his ear saying what a great club liverpool is.
Let's be honest the timing is perfect, messi leaves barca when liverpool are at the peak and winning trophies hand over foot; you can be sure that Anfield and the liverpool team left a great impression on every Barcelona player. Now messi has a chance to play under the Anfield light in the famous liver bird red.
The cost...to Messi it's priceless!!
Messi...only one club for him now!

Messi is a serial winner, so I can’t see him signing for a ball club that have only won 2 major titles in 14 seasons. The League Cup is not a major.
Also he is desperate to win another UCL, so why would he play for Liverpool who have only won a measly 2 UCLs in the last 36 seasons?

Given i think we can exclude real madrid as an option, could you please elaborate out of the realistic options he has, who has a better record in europe than our measly 2 UCL's in the last 36 seasons?

He'll never play for Real and Milan are chiit
We're the next best historically so your argument makes no sense. What i expect from a fan of a has been nothing club thats never won CL 🏆
Best player ever would have a great chance of winning it multiple times at Liverpool.
You'd be stupid to argue otherwise
I await patiently

Well even historically Bayern have a better record plus they’re the #1 team now.
But I think PSG, Juve, City, Real etc. all offer better UCL chances than Liverpool atm.
Also, on an unrelated note, I don’t think Messi is the best player ever. Top 4 imo.

So bayern, who have 3 in the last 36 seasons are the bar. A record that shatters our 2 in 36 seasons. Cheers mate

Why are you saying Bayern have a better record?
You do know both clubs have won the same amount of European Cups / Champions League trophies?
We have won 3 UEFA Cups to their 1
As usual, liquid posts utter tripe.
Never before was someone more in need of a name change
Solid Moron seems far more appropriate

You listed teams who've never won it.
Liverpool have been in the final 2 out of last 3 years
You're a joke

Also, if we are looking at arbitrary time periods then we have won 6 CL's in the last 43 seasons which would only be second to Madrid who have 7 in that time. Bayern have only managed 3 in that time. All the other English teams combined have only won 6 in that time.

“Messi has seen the power of Anfield first hand“.
Indeededoodie he has! The power was in the belt round the back of his head when Andrew gave him one just to let him know who was going to the final and who wasn’t.
