As long as British players prices remain over-priced I’d be happy with a squad of all foreigners.

£30m White - got German international for £13m
£80m for Grealish- De Paul/ Rodrigo proven international players with experience of top leagues for a third of the price

Not sure what a few are smoking here with all this British thing. Our core is British (Philips, Cooper, Ayling etc) and our youth team is British but as far as going to the market for experienced British players - no thanks. Unless you wana go bankrupt in a few years

Worries me we're heading like Arsenal/Liverpool/Man City, etc. with too many foreigners(non-Brits/Irish). We have a good team since we got promoted, we only needed a striker, and a replacement for White.Troy Deeney wold have been a good signing and he's a great leader. The ways it's going MB won't need a translator with so many Spanish speaking players !!

I would not get rid of the above for anything, they are great, but I still think we need a limit. Would you honestly like your local team to have only foreign players, and not one Brit or Irish ?

We need a good mix but I would be disappointed to see a Leeds 11 with all foreign players. Not because they are foreign but because it would mean our UK based players just aren’t good enough.

We are a long way from that scenario though I think.

People have no problem signing Irish players, who are, from a foreign country after all, Johnny Giles was born in Dublin.
Much rather have the likes of Alioski who gets it than say Seth Johnson, British but never really got it. I no more want a foreign mercenary than a British one but being born within spitting distance of Elland Rd isn't the criteria I measure transfers on.

If they're good enough and their hearts are in the right place and they play with energy and desire and Bielsa's system, I don't care where they come from.

But I always said that our first bid for White was miles too high and will stick by that. I also said we could get any number of top class centre-backs for much much less - and we did.

And we have a brilliant crop of young english players in our U23s who are breaking through - plus Phillips at England, Coops at Scotland, Dallas at Norn Ireland, McCarron at Scotland U21s, TyRob at Wales, plus our host of international internationals.

Diversity is good.
