Slightly off-subject, but this is a sport forum.
So Gary Lineker has magnanimously taken a £400,000 pay cut ... yes, that's cut, to present MOTD for the next 5 years.
He'll only earn £1.3m now - how will he ever cope?

He and his agents negotiated the deal therefore he is entitled to the money.
I have zero issues with presenters earning the salaries they agreed.
The question is how can the BBC think that spending these sums of money is appropriate. I watch MotD for the football I couldn't careless who presented, analyzed or commentated on the match.

Unless you watch it on mute, a decent commentator would be preferable.

So he gets paid over a million to watch football and make shiiit football puns, and I'm doing the same thing on here for nothing. Not fair.

Lineker taking a 400k pay cut puts him on 1.35m and Zoe Ball's current salary is 1.36m, the BBC just want to have a woman as their top earner when they release the figures next year

Lineker is a top-class troll. And I mean that as a huge compliment, because he trolls the gammon and the racists and I for one love it!!

The BBC is a fantastic service and I think too many people under appreciate it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It used to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What would you say is so great about it now?
A lot of its programs have degraded.
Iplayer is one good thing though.

I think it’s heralded around the world - held up of an example of how you do things.
The content they put out is mixed of course, but on the whole I think it’s exceptional given it doesn’t operate as a private business.
Appreciate it’s just an opinion but think a lot of people underplay the range of services they provide - worldwide.
We’d miss it if it were gone imo.

Don't know about everyone else, but I use to watch BBC a fair amount when younger, even their bitesize for GCSE's 🙂. Barely watch their channels now. Never really listen to BBC radio either. I use their news and sport sites though.
