MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

Leeds are seeking back-to-back league victories against Fulham for the first time since December 2003, when the Whites were last in the Premier League.
The home team has not lost any of the previous eight league meetings.
In the past 31 Premier League matches between two newly promoted clubs, the away side has managed to win just twice - both of which came at relegated Norwich last season.
Leeds United

This is the first Premier League fixture at Elland Road since a 3-3 draw against Charlton confirmed Leeds' relegation in May 2004.
Leeds have lost their opening match at Elland Road in only one of their previous 12 seasons in the Premier League, a 2-0 defeat by Sheffield Wednesday in August 1996.
Marcelo Bielsa's side conceded only one goal in their final eight Championship home fixtures last season.
They won 33 tackles against Liverpool last Saturday and covered a distance of 114.6km, the most of any side in the opening round of Premier League matches.
Fulham

Fulham have lost 15 of their past 19 Premier League matches.
They have only won their opening away match in two of their 26 top-flight seasons, against Portsmouth in 2009-10 and Sunderland in 2013-14.
Tom Cairney has been directly involved in seven league goals against Leeds, scoring four and setting up three - more than he has against any other opponent.
Head coach Scott Parker scored a 90th-minute winner at Elland Road in December 2002 in his only victory in six Premier League appearances as a player against Leeds, which all came for Charlton.

The experience and pride/disappointment experienced last week should boost the Lads but i still think it'll be close 1-1 at half time with Leeds getting another 2 to finish 3-1 Winners, Harrison, Bamford and Koch to score

So glad we got 3 points today... will wait till the dust settles before I start giving player’s grief.. but I’ll say this.. keeper should of stopped the penalty, and their 2nd goal.

Bamford, Costa and Harrison have all been excellent these first two games (Harrison maybe less so today). Last season they regularly played well but the end product was often missing and I was critical of it, especially Paddy.

I'm delighted for all of them and for us that they've started the season so well. Confidence plays a big part in top class sport. Long may their form continue. I'd be ecstatic for him and the team if Bamford bagged 15-20 goals this season. And will be delighted to eat my XL portion of humble.

Regardless of your ramblings, Bamford was fantastic. It's he plays as he is, plenty of folks will be eating some humble pie.

I know it's inconvenient when the facts don't suit your narrative so i'll ignore the cheap shot.

The first line of my response was 'Bamford was great today'

He runs himself into the ground and gets subbed when he's no longer effective (or a tactical change is required) otherwise Bielsa would leave him on. Or does Bielsa not know what he's doing.

Think seen plenty of times that substitutes is probably the weakest part of Bielsa as coach. You're surely not telling me that you thought Roberts and Alioski changed the game in our favour? Their changes were much more effective than ours.

Kiko should be in goal

^^^^^

Don, have you heard anything on this?

Just speculating, but, have a feeling MB/club
might be waiting a couple of games and then
bringing Kiko back in. Dust settling and all that.

Re the pen, my keeper mate tells me that shots low and close can be harder to get to than ones body length or further - kind of a blind spot - difficult to get your body and arms down quickly apparently. So I might cut him some slack for that, but i'm sure he's disappointed.

Think the second was more a 'could have' not a 'should have'. Think the third was probably worse... changed his mind on the cross, couldn't get back into position.

His distribution was a bit hit and miss again. He's just a kid, it's a big ask for him to deliver consistently. Let's hope today was a minor blip and it didn;t cost us anything. He obviously has ability but i think it was a risk coming into the season with kiko and a young lad as our options in such an important position.

Anyway, well done for letting the dust settle before giving grief

Their subs helped them get back into the game, they scored 2, hit the post - and had other chances with bamford still on the pitch.

Alioski for bamford and a reshuffle countered that and nullified their threat. We had some chances, one for alioski, one for harrison, some good positions we messed up... while they had a half chance for mitrovich that i recall. That's the game I saw.

Costa, Bamford, Klich our best 3 players today.

Agree to disagree then. I never saw us look as effective on the ball after Bamford came off, personally. Watching the same game but with different perspectives. Football is a funny old game, eh?

I have to say once again that when Bamford comes off we lose something.

He was awesome today. Scored one, won a penalty and one assist.

He’s an intelligent player and I think the others are now getting onto his wavelength. Long may it continue.
