Alli has been a shadow of his former self for a few years but he's still outscored Lingard in each PL season he's played in. It would be such a dumb move that it would probably undo all the good work we've done in the window thus far.

I really hope that Jose signs Jesse. But I am not fussed for Dele. Good player who is our of form, but not what we need. He would want to start most games and we don't have space for him in the position he plays. I hope the lad moves abroad and doesn't waste any more time being Jose's whipping boy.

He seems like the revenge type.

Jesse loves United, si in that respect I'm sorry to see him sold. But he hasn't performed for us for ages, and the money can go to someone better

This deal would make me very happy

I'm even more intrigued by the rumour that Zenit St Petersburg are interested in Jesse Lingard. I used to watch Zenit in the 90s, in the old stadium that was designed to optimise probability of death by crushing, in stands populated by fans who would racially abuse players who were slightly swarthier than the rest from the south of Russia (Caucasians in both senses of the word; at this point Russian football didn't have Brazilians and Africans to racially abuse, because they couldn't afford to import foreign talent) and when Zenit was statistically the most boring team in Europe (with the lowest combined goals for and against). Mixed memories. But it's a beautiful city and Russia is a beautiful country. It would be really interesting to see him playing in the RPL, and partying like a Russian in his spare time.

Would be a good move for Lingard I think. He needs to reset and kickstart his career.

Can’t see how we’d be interested in Alli though.
