Special shout out to Willy C

Tale of two keepers in Kepa and Willy, the old wine and the young butter fingers. So refreshing to have a good keeper in the sticks, Havertz & Tammy rightly got plaudits but also a huge shout out to Willy Caballero. Hasn’t played nearly enough as he should of and whenever he is called upon as always he is reliable competent and trustworthy.

Makes all the difference for the rest of the team as well as the improvement in goal. I’m sure Mendy will instantly be #1 but nonetheless thank you to Willy for the continued competent excellent service he puts in and I hope we go all the way in the cups as he deserves to lift one.

Willy Caballero made 9 saves against Barnsley, the most of any Chelsea goalkeeper in a competitive game since 2014-15

Mendy first choice with Willy as backup and we're sorted. No need for Kepa to hang around the club like a bad smell, if he's got any sense he'll push very hard for a loan this window. He has no place or purpose here anymore.

Well said Superb. I was perturbed to hear the reports that Frank wants him to stay and fight for his place. Hopefully that was just cosmetics to get a better fee for him. There is no point IMO as the deficiencies that he has in his game cannot be coached out of him and all the opposing teams know it and will play on it. Every time Willie plays we just look more secure and assured at the back. Yes I know that Kepa is not to blame for all of the defensive problems we have, but just taking him out of the equation is definitely a step in the right direction, before we move onto the other shortcomings in our defence and address them also.

Frankly (no pun intended) if he (Kepa) is selected for any other reason now other than he's the only fit keeper we have, - then i'll want to know why
