Chelsea

Ok they rescued a point in the end but they were up against one of the poorest sides in the league.

Liverpool totally outclassed them at home last week.

All we heard all summer is that they are nailed for 3rd at worst and could be title contenders.

They spent huge this summer but failed to really address their main issue. All of their big transfers were in attack when their real problems were at the other end of the pitch.

They had the worst defensive record in the top 10 last season and in fact only conceded less than 7 teams in the whole league yet they spent the majority of their huge budget on attackers.

I’ve no doubt Werner and Havertz will some good eventually but was there really a need to spend a fortune on them and Ziyech while not spending a huge amount on the real issues of centre half and keeper.

Some said Thiago Silva will be a great signing and who knows he might be but he’s 36 and has moved to the fastest league in the world. Imo he was overrated at his peak and at this stage of his career I highly doubt he is the answer. They could have easily spent the Havertz or Werner money on a top keeper or centre half.

They have bought a new keeper and I’m not saying he’s not good but let’s be fair and he’s 28 and if we’re the majority of us had never heard of him.

I think they’ll be in a battle for 4th again this season.

Always knew the title talk a few weeks ago was ridiculous because they haven’t strengthened the areas they really need to.

When you spend that kind of money you can have no excuses though. We will see whether Chilwell and this Mendy bloke make a difference but I’m not convinced.

That said I still think they will make top four. United, Spurs look to have enough issues of their own. Everton won’t keep it up.

Too soon to be judging Chelsea - even more than it is United. Lots of new players to get up to speed. I’m pretty sure they’ll get top four. Us, without signings... less confident. But it’s very early days.

It is quite soon but they do seem to have the same issues as last year.

Because alonso is playing. The team will transform once he’s gone. Didn’t concede with him off Yesterday

Of course you didn't. You were playing against a team intent on holding on to a lead and nothing else. He may be rubbish but you're in denial if you think he's the one and only problem with your defensive personnel and tactics

Azpi’s a better left back than Chilwell. Chilwell’s on a similar level to Alonso.

What, the right footed one is the best option?

Goals yesterday. 2 were from individual errors.playing with 3 at the back is suicide. Atleast with 11 players on we have a chance
