This game shows some things clear

Pepe has been a very poor signing so far.

For the type of money we spent on him, his output in games has been awful

Pepe needs to play more he’s very talented

Ninth Laca should work on his stamina. He starts blowing hard before the hour these days.

AMN has bought into the hype of his performances at the tail end of last season. I for one would sell for 20 mill if it meant Auoar or Partey.

I think with the current squad (without additions) we should still ditch this horrible 343 formation. Our wide players are simply not creative enough. You could do it with Nasri and Rosicky but not Auba and Pepe/Willian. Add that Bellerin is not consistent either and we are lacking creativity.

I'd go
Leno
Bellerin. Holding/Saliba. Gabriel. Tierney
Xhaka. Elneny
Ceballos
Willian/pepe. Lacazette. Auba


Or a midfield flattish 3 of

Elneny
Ceballos. Xhaka

Also worth noting that under Emery and the worst days of Wenger we would have lost that 5-1 with a significantly worse performance. And yes, Ceballos is head and shoulders above the rest of our midfield.

Pepe was absolute s**t when he came on, I'm not saying he's not trying, I AM saying he shouldn't be making the bench and if we could sell him for good money (highly unlikely) then we definitely should.

Saka and AMN are 2 different players and both should be starting

Holding I am not a fan of but he coped well today and shouldn’t be singled out

Back 3 has been the main reason behind our transformation. We don’t have he defenders to play a back 4 and we certainly don’t have the midfield

Xhaka will start more often than not unless we buy better midfielders

Wilner is average but Pepe is horrendous and any club who is stupid enough to show interest in him should get him with the first offer they make

He is solid, but not good enough to take us to next level

Yeah, but it's not working anymore, we have been dreadful, look how little chances we have in games

Yeah, that's what i say, need to buy an upgrade, till we buy he plays, but not good enough

I am Willian's fan, but i think Pepe would be better in this kind of games, even though he was awful today, I would start him in games where we defend.
