It doesn’t help he’s not getting enough game time to get sharp and make an impact, in fairness. I get that the quality of our bench isn’t good enough but Ole’s use of subs and squad rotation hasn’t been good enough.

There are occasions on which he really needed to be in the pitch after 65 or 70 mins and ended up getting 5 mins.

Only when it comes to Italian clubs. Very hit & miss outside of that so I’d take these rumours with a pinch of salt.

Yep, it’s just not really enough time to get into the game. It cannot help your confidence as a squad player if that’s all you’re limited to. I don’t think it’s as simple as the quality of the players, how they are managed needs to be taken into account as well.

Some managers are good at using their squad even if they have inferior players on their bench to others. Fergie was very good at this. I think Klopp is as well.

Mourinho seemed to struggle with this even with better squads than either of those two had.

Ighalo is suffering what every player on the team is going through... Match Fitness. He was the perfect change up before the lock down scored some cracking goals and did what was needed.

It is more than match fitness. He isn’t good enough at this level. He just isn’t.

He’s also suffering what many of the players on the team are, lack of ability.

Ighalo isnt young or hungry, neither is Telles. Nor Cavani.
