Who doesn't even make the matchday squad?

Assuming the Cuisance deal gets over the line, if everyone is fully fit, at the moment the full squad will be:

Meslier, Casiila
Ayling, Douglas, Koch, Cooper, Alioski, Dallas, Struijk, Davis, Llorente,
Forshaw, Poveda, Costa, Hernandez, Harrison, Phillips, Klich, Shackleton, Cuisance.
Bamford, Roberts, Rodrigo.

I know some are injured and they are looking to move a few out but still, some of that squad will only even make the bench when we have injuries or suspensions.

Forshaw will not feature but when Pablo is back my starting 11 would be

Meslier, Ayling, Koch, Cooper (at the moment), Dallas, Phillips, Costa, Harrison, Klich, Hernandez and Bamford

Subs: Casilla, Llorente, Alioski, Poveda, Cuisence, Rodrigo and Roberts,

Douglas, Struijk, Shackleton and Davis not making the matchday squad. If Gelhardt does well enough, others will be looking over their shoulders.

Don't want a paper thin squad but maybe need to consider loaning a couple out.

Squad is an excellent size, room to manoeuvre if injuries, cup runs or loss of form hits us. Nice having a bench with plenty of experience on it opposed to teenage debutants.

I'd say in addition to Gelhardt they might be looking over shoulders for Greenwood too.

Great problem to have. Let the great manager sort it.

Saying that, how long before Llorente, Cuisance, Rodrigo are all starters? And who gives way?

Hope this is announced today by the club. And I hope when it comes to the buy back clause we have the right to tell Bayern to fook off.

Llorente and Rodrigo on the bench

Good joke.

Just out of interest, who do you drop to shoe horn either in. I can see Rodrigo starting consistently for Hernandez, with Pablo becoming an impact sub, but Coops for Llorente, really?

It's going to be very interesting to see how MB juggles
this squad. For me, I think Koch is a lock. Llorente challenges Cooper. But Coops is our captain and a pure left footed left-side CB. So valuable for our balance. Or does MB want to go 3 CBs? Cooper left, Llorente middle, Koch right. With attacking RB & LB?

Rodrigo's easier. If he's in a fight with Bamford for the
CF role, Bamford wins (at least for now, he's been great). For me, I really liked seeing Rodrigo & PB. Hope that pans out.

If Cuisance does sign, is he in competition with KP? Doubt it. Seems more likely to be a straight fight with Klich. I love Klich. But Cuisance didn't come here to sit on the bench (in his mind).

Will be fascinating and great to watch MB evolve this team and continue to mould it.
