Rhian Brewster

He has been sold to Sheffield United for £23.5 million. Ill admit I never actually saw much of him so I don't know how much promise he has. We have apparently have a buy back option for 3 years, and will also get 15% of any future sale.

Terrible deal for Sheffield. Overpaying and Liverpool can buy him back
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why, if he turns out to be not quite what Pool want, but Sheffield are pleased with him, everyone happy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because its a lose lose
If he's shiiit, they've overpaid for a crap player
If he's good, Liverpool will take him back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But if he keeps Sheffield in the top-flight (earning them tens of millions) then its a win. If Liverpool buy him back for for more than Sheffield paid then they'll also profit there.

its pretty stupid to call it a bad deal for sheff utd.

they are aiming for 17th here this season.

anything that helps there is a no brained.

23mil to stay in prem after their start? thats a bargain.

In what world does signing an unproven kid guarantee goals? This has Solanke mk2 all over it. Fair play to whoever's doing the selling at Liverpool. They've been smashing it the last few years.

The comment you are replying doesn't even suggest thay goals are guaranteed. All mito does is say it is too early to say it has been a bad decision, and that if it keeps them up it will be a great decision.

It's not lose lose. If Brewster's goals are the difference between Sheffield United staying up or going down it becomes a fantastic deal for them by default.

yeah if brewster can get 10 goals and help them stay in the prem 23m is a bargain. even in a covid year that's not a lot of money anymore.

Liverpool profiting in a market that is well short of decent strikers.

In what world does signing a striker that will keep you in the league not mean he's supposed to score goals? You're ridiculous.

Terrible deal for Utd. Even if this guy turns out to be class they'll be stuffed when they try to sell him like Palace have been with Zaha. Good enough for the elite clubs and he'll force a move. Not quite good enough and they'll barely make anything on him. Brainless signing.

Ooh another swing and a miss. Where does anyone say that he is guaranteed goals? People are saying that if he helps keep them up then its money well spent. Nobody has said he is guaranteed to keep them up. That is a huge comprehension fail right there.
