Let's make this nice and simple. Friday night was a disgrace of a performance and we deserved everything we got from the game. There are not enough negative words in the dictionary to cover how bad we were and the winning goal summed it up. Shameful.
I'm just grateful I didn't have to do a 130 mile round trip to watch it.
To only have one shot on goal in the entire game tells you enough about it, and if you couple that with our ability to gift at least one goal every game through some truly Sunday league defending (and again, that last goal would make Sunday league defenders blush), then we're not going to get anything out of this season other than a long and painful relegation battle.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, our problems all stem from our midfield and their inability to take the ball and pass it to someone wearing the same colour of shirt. Both Harkes and particularly Butcher hide from the ball. We cannot play a 442 with Butcher in the team. It's as simple as that. So either we take him out of the team or we change to a 433. We can't continue the way we are because all we did on Friday was hoof the ball up the park all night, and it was completely ineffective.
And we might not given that we've just signed Jeandro Fuchs (all the puns have already been done on his name, but feel free to repeat them). The Cameroon international looks a player of real quality and hopefully he can dramatically improve what is a dreadful midfield. All my hopes are now resting with him.
You've got to hope we get another couple of bodies in to the club today because we need them. Hopefully we can also resist any bids from Burnley for Logan Chalmers.
It was a depressing weekend for all Arabs out there. Let's hope we don't ever repeat that kind of performance again.

Nice free kick from Clark at least. Not the first time he's done that to a wall.
Connolly however. Absolutely no idea how he gets a game. Can't tackle, can't head, can't run, can't keep a track of his man, can't control a ball. Awful in every respect. There will be 16-year-olds in the youth team that would do a better job.
I've posted the stats before with him in the team vs. him not in the team and it's relegation form vs. Championship winning form.
I struggle to think of a player I've disliked more. It's a cliché but we'd genuinely be better playing a man down. Just stick Butcher in there and put someone in midfield.

Doesn't help that we have a manager who seems to have only one post match interview.
It actually sounds as if he thinks the supporters don't see the games.
We didn't have one shot at goal except for a free kick and he thinks things are improving.
Its clear to everybody that we cannot defend with cb's we have.
Far from convinced we have the right man in place.

I hate football.
Friday was as depressed as I’ve felt watching Utd for a long time, interestingly date wise it pretty much coincided with “that” Friday night Alloa away match last year. Thank god for red wine.
My crap football weekend was summed up yesterday in the fantasy football league I’m in, I have Jack Grealish in my team but subbed him out because I reckoned he would do nothing vs Liverpool. Two goals and three assists later...
Considering following a different sport.

I watched the last 25 minutes of the 1st half. Couldn't be bothered watching the second. Still haven't seen the "highlights".
Transfer Window "fun" again today. Not a fan of loan signings. Whatever happened to coaching a team of your own players on how to win games?
