Spurs had a lot in favour here, at home, in better form and the red card landing on Soton. Soton caused plenty problems for Spurs down the wings, and held their own in the middle with their strong central mid trio, the game was very even as they came into the match gradually before the red card. Spurs had an abundance of attacking threats though and were always going to cause the Soton defence problems. Soton were lucky the red card didn’t land on Onana, as tempted as I was to make Adama go in goals, so it was just the one goal separating the two rather than four. After the red, the game slowed as Spurs were happy to see the game out as they shut up shop and didn’t put pressure on the Soton 10 men.
