about the only time he's played a blinder !

Hopefully fourth choice now that Cech is part of our PL squad.

It's a real shame for the lads really, someone has come up to him & said "look we really like you son, you've got what it takes"

Clearly something has gone very wrong from the early scouting on him, & he'll have to lower his expectations a bit

Then he'll need to go back to basics & regain some confidence to make a career...but not with us

That little show of petulance in the League Cup final will need to be curtailed too...that's going to be on his CV for a bit

It does make you wonder as to who scouted, reported, and recommended him.

yep....cost the club a fackin fortune HH

Plus he’s on a 7 year contract (!!!!), with 5 years remaining. We could loan him out for 2-3 years, and hope that he improves enough to push up his value a bit. He must be worth less than £10M now, but perhaps in 2-3 years we could get £30M (?) for him, plus save on his salary for that period. We’d still have to eat £40M though!

Rumor at the time said he would've gone to Madrid if they hadn't bought Courtois or couldn't get DDG. He was highly rated in Spain (for some reason).

I don't blame the club for getting slaughtered on the money, both with Kepa & Bilbao. Courtois backed us into a corner with that transfer request so late into the transfer window, Marina's good but she's not a miracle worker.

Where will he end up Harle? Hackney Marshes probably.

Since the end of last season in August, I just didn't want him to put the Club's shirt on again, and sadly everything that we have seen since just confirms that feeling I had. He is still our player (unfortunately) and I would like to give him some sort of support to help us get more out of him somehow, but I just can't. He just seems like a lost cause and if we are lucky enough to get somebody to take him off our hands, we are gna lose shed loads because nobody in their right minds is gna pay anywhere near what we did.
