What a superb performance.
Villa showed hints of danger at times, but with Meslier and Ayling keeping us in the match, the continual pressure on Villa finally told.
It's really hard to fault any of that Leeds team out there, superb to a man and really strong management from Bielsa to shuffle teh line up and make an early substitution to protect the team and Struick.
The passing seemed even quicker and impactful tonight, thought Harrison and Dallas were superb, Rodrigo showed some real class with his touches, Alioski didn't look out of place and Klich was just his usual everywhere self.
Costa looking better and more menacing every game, Koch is growing into this side with every game, but for me, the more I watched Ayling tonight the more I wondered if he might just get an international call up at some point, which could make a lot of sense linking up with Philips, Ayling has grown so much as a player, its wonderful to see.
Now Bamford. I thought here we go in first half, missing those chances, but how to make a hat trick look easy, fantastic goals and who knows, at this rate, Bamford might also find himself be called upon internationally if he stays top of goal scoring charts.
Shame that Hernandez missed that chance, I think lack of first team action showed there, Shackleton slotted in seamlessly and Raphinia.....what a pass!
To think that we put in that performance against unbeaten side when we were missing our captain and midfield lynchpin is testament to super management from Bielsa in creating a machine that other parts can slot into with confidence and capability to do the right job.
What a wonderful advert for football we saw tonight.
Thoughts from tonight

Watching Ayling in the Championship, I always thought this is a PL quality player.
Now watching him in the PL, well... after 6 games (ok, early days I know), looks like an international doesn't he

this is why we had to escape the championship last year. i think we would have lost players and would have had a tougher task to get up even with bielsa.
having said that i knew we were going to win the league so it could never happen. never mind.

Guardian post match report actually stated:
"If we're talking about Everton, Villa, and Spurs
as title favourites, then why not Leeds?"
Mental turn of events.

Must admit I'm enjoying watching LUFC this season. Just listening to TalkSport after finishing work and certain fans ringing up saying you'll p1ss this league. What you fans saying? Top 4? Top 6? Or happy to stay up? All the best as it will be a fun season!

Got best manager in the league
Be disappointed if didn’t get top six

Thanks for the reply LIW... I'm thinking top 10 this season for you boys and Mr B staying on for a even better finish in 2021/22 season. I do like the way you play football, rather than Fulham & WBA who came up with you.

[Cough, cough], they didn't "come up with us," WBA were runners up by 10 points, Fulham even further back.
They both snuck in while we glided up.

Last night shouldn’t surprise at all ... but every time it still does for me...
Truly incredible, it’s almost like it makes no odds who we play.. fact is we outplay every body !!
What Bielsa has done for our club is amazing!

I’m still buzzing after that match. Maybe it’s because of who we were playing. Love the fact we’re not just hanging on to games, we’re thriving & playing superb footy as well.
We’ve paid our emotional dues for over a decade .... we as fans we deserve this bit of payback 👍👍😁😁🥃🥃🍺🍺🍻🍻

Funniest moment was Grealish complaining that one of ours (Klich I think) went down too easily! Got booked for dissent talk about a hypocrite

Funniest moment for me as I had to go old school and listen on radio / Gabriel abonglahor on sky sports was gabbys face at the end.
I absolutely loved it 😂
I would imagine that’s how Kevin Keegan would of felt if Newcastle had of beaten United 😂😂😂😂
