Small Squad

Thought tonight was a brilliant example of why we shouldn’t worry about the size of the squad. Great to see Shackleton get a chance to really shine today.

We still had Pablo, Raphinha, Roberts, Poveda on the bench today.

And even with three players out injured at the back we kept a clean sheet.

I would much much rather have to find a way to cope in two or three games each season when we have a number of injuries in the same position than have 5 or 6 highly paid experienced professionals not in the squad each week.

Everyone knows they have a chance of playing, including the younger lads and that will benefit the club every game this season, not just for two or three. And on top of that who knows the benefit it might have in a few years bringing more players through and giving them a chance

If anyone has listen to god, for the past two years.

This is exactly what he’s been saying.

Keep the squad slim, and you find the answers from the squad

Completely agree. I've stopped wasting my own
energy questioning anything Messiah does. What's
the point? Messiah is the only perfect being. He's
doing something absolutely incredible, in the exact
way he wants. And it works. Small squad? No worries.

It's been a long time I've been this excited for the
games to come around. The team has totally bought
in to Messiah's gospel of football.

I've watched Bamford's hatrick several more times
tonight. It just makes me smile. The passing and
movement from the team. Klich & Rodrigo's passing
alone should be made into a commerative video.
So many good performances. Koch is a steal. Dallas
just keeps amazing me with how versatile he is.
Meslier? WTF? He's 20 for christ's sake. He looks
the real bloody deal. Bill, fantastic. All of them.

Makes me laugh and smile at how audacious MB is.
Starting to think the common thread between all of
the players (outside of desire/fitness) is they have
high football IQs. Amazing. Every player can play
multiple roles for MB. Small squad until you see
how versatile each of them is. Just wow.

Watching the celebration of the first goal, when
Patrick gets up he sees Rodrigo and they go nuts
sliding in to each other like giddy school kids. These
two together are magical. Brilliant. Please don't get
injured either of you.

Delirious happy rant over. God I love Leeds.
