Do you trust the process

Part of the process is what Arteta is doing at the moment. He will make mistakes but will get it right

I am trusting the process

What is the process to you and do you trust it ?

Guy just needs to play Aubameyang up front and be done with it. Dont care if he can't hold the ball up well. It's not like Lacazette can do it.

It's a bit of a myth that Laca is good at holding the ball up. It's just that he is much better than Auba at it who is atrocious.

Auba will have zero impact centrally due to what's behind him but yeah worth a try

You look at that squad though and ask what do you expect? Besides Partey, Tierney and Auba is there another player that you look at and think can come into any of title challenges and challenge for a starting position? You have a couple with great potential but the only way you beat a top team is by stifling and then looking to ensure you take the odd chance you get. You're not going out and dominating those games. And then against teams that are organised you seem to struggle to break them down. When was the last time you turned anyone over 4 or 5 nil?
I like Arteta and I'd give him plenty of time, but your squad is a squad that is built for a top 6 finish at best.

Very true but Tierney lol. Average player

Tierney is very over hyped. Good at going forward but struggles against pace

No. Boring football, poor chance creation, sitting 11th in the league, poor defending, poor decisions on players (imo which is subjective), etc.

How dare anyone question The Process.

Depends on how you look at it.

I think Arteta is doing much better than expected with the poor quality ingredients at his disposal. Especially for a first time gig.

I also think that The Board/Vinai/Edu are way out of their depth and shouldn't be anywhere near a club at this level.

Yep all Auba has to do is play off the shoulder of the last defender. Keep making runs and eventually we will find him.

It's not like we punt the ball up front anyway so the CF ball holding skills should be pretty irrelevant.

I'd like to see Partey/Ceb and Willian as a no10 like you said as our MF 3 but can't see Arteta ever dropping Xhaka who lets be honest hasnt been poor but just doesnt offer much going forward.

We dont have the Giroud type option any more.
Would like to see another striker.
We need Martinelli back also. At least he runs at the opposition

Sometimes the system a manager is employing isn’t immediately obvious due to the personnel.

You have to give him time and he’s shown enough so far to be trusted imo.

That said, bringing in Willian and giving Luiz a contract extension surprised me.

Seems pretty obvious to everyone that he's playing defensively with little regard for creative attacking. He's a manager setting up and playing to not lose rather than playing to win. Emery's starting record being better than his doesn't bode well either.

With Partey, Tierney, Pepe, Willian and Gabriel now added to the squad, since Emery's first season. It can be argued Arteta has a way better squad than Emery did. Yet his first season anyway, Emery had the team playing better than this, for most of it and falling just short of CL. If he could accomplish that with the players he had, then really and truly, Arteta has no excuse to be putting on the crap shows we're seeing now. Can't blame the squad of players on this one. It's all on the way the manager is insisting on playing.

Might just be the "jobsafe" approach from Arteta but he should know that our teams, even when weak, always stand a better chance of winning, playing attacking football. To use the cliche, that's in the Arsenal DNA and I think it's the way any player who joins us wants to play. They all grew up on that Arsenal.

We're 11th in the league with 2 tems that can go ahead of us, Man C probably will.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and disagree that Arteta's side is better than Emery's.

Emery's original side may not have been perfect, but it was much more complete.

He had an interchangeable crop of quality keepers, and a passable rotation of specialist defenders and fullbacks.

He also had actual attacking midfielders who could carry the ball forward and/or supplement the attack with runs into the box.

Plus a younger and fitter "Aubazette" to do his bidding.

There's currently too much focus on chasing the dream of crafting the perfect "Starting XI" at the expense of building an actual squad.

We're only one injury away from having to rely on the 2nd string keeper from a side rooted to the bottom of Ligue 1, FFS.
