We are fast approaching Jose's 50th competitive game in charge of the club. I think this happens at the weekend if I'm not mistaken? One thing that disappoints in all that time is the lack of any substantial winning run that Spurs have been on. We've never been able to go further than a 3 game winning run, talking either specifically in the PL, or any 4+ games over multiple competitions. This is something Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Chelsea and United have all managed to do in the time Jose has been at the club. The man labelled a "winner" has brought a somewhat lack of winning mentality to the club so far.
Two or three wins here and there have been followed with a laboured draw or a poor defeat. It's less excusable now that we have a quality team capable of going further, and had we not drawn West Ham we'd have already fixed this hoodoo, if you want to call it that. The more these draws and losses keep rearing their ugly heads after every few games, the less faith I have in Jose doing anything special with us. We need to develop a toughness and show we're hard to take points off.
Start with a win tonight and take it from there. I don't want to be seeing a miserable struggle to win a point at the weekend or gifting WBA their first win of the season, which would be typical Spurs.
This team needs to go on a good winning run

No easy games but we have had the kindest opening fixtures, but you have to beat whats in front of you as they say. The next 6 or 7 will tell us a lot more. This early on i dont get caught up in the table, its all so tight after only a handful of games. Christmas is a good time to properly assess.

Hardly the kindest.
Everton Saints and WHU have all started the season strongly - and between them they've taken points off Liverpool City Us Leicester Wolves.
NUFC is the real clanger but we were denied there by awful refs.
Thumped Utd away, Chelsea only managed a draw.
On paper they are not the top teams but actually they have been some of the form teams. In reality Saints away, WHU or Everton is a tougher game than Utd at OT right now.
No easy games although WBA are probably at the end of the scale. A must win in any circumstance.

You'll have the chance to go top of the league this weekend and may well stay there by the end of it with us playing City away.
Pretty horrible run of fixtures all the way until Boxing Day you have afterwards where we will see what Spurs are really made of this season.
If you're still in touch of the leaders after that (6 points or less) you'll be challenging I reckon.

We were well in touch late February 2019 and look how that turned out

i did say there were no easy games.
but out of all the games at the exception of maybe united away theyre games fans seem to feel we have obligations to pick the 3 points up from

King Jose doing just fine mate: 3rd in the league. Still in league cup after beating Chelsea. If he wins trophies, I couldn’t careless playing the “Spurs way”. It’s just f** all the last 12 years. Time for some ruthlessness and hopefully Jose to change this weak mentality infesting the club and our supporters

Chelsea and Man U games were a joy. Really turned a bit of a corner and threw away 2 home wins after that. Been back to being uninspiring recently hopefully just a blip

Of course but I didn't say disappointing. Its if we carry on like this and its not sustainable it'll be disappointing too, but will worry about that if it happens.
